Reasons to Use Cloth Diapers

FamilyDiapering & PottyReasons to Use Cloth Diapers

So you’re motivated to change your buying habits and make some better choices this year? And…you’ve been thinking how great it would be if you could switch from the disposable diapers you’re using now to using cloth diapers, or you’d like to use cloth diapers for a baby that’s on the way. You want to make the environmentally correct choice but you’re worried, because cloth diapers must be smelly, messy, and really hard to figure out.

Actually – cloth diapers are SO much easier to use than you may think! They are super cute and comfy, and will save you lots of money – up to $2000 per child, in fact. So let’s try to demystify the process for you – and you will see that it’s not a sacrifice to use cloth diapers, but instead a huge pleasure!

Messy? Not with flushable liners! When your baby poops, simply remove the flushable liner, throw it in the toilet and flush it away! No rinsing, no scraping.

Smelly? Store soiled diapers in our hanging diaper pail – the draw string AND zipper ensures that the smells are contained in the bag until you’re ready to wash!

Washing? Easy! Just machine wash and dry using some of these cloth diaper-friendly detergents.

Complicated? Have you seen the new Bummis All in One Diaper?

Bummis All-in-One Cloth Diaper

Using an easy snap adjustment it will fit your baby from birth to potty training. It’s a one piece wonder – just adjust it to fit your baby, add a flushable liner, put it on and snap the diaper closed. It’s as easy as that! And by the way, while you’re changing that diaper – did you notice how cute that little cotton covered bum is?

A huge advantage to using cloth diapers is that we notice when our baby is wet, so we change them. This is healthy and means that your baby is always comfortable and has less chance of developing a diaper rash. Since you will change your newborn 8-10 times a day, be sure to purchase a minimum of 24 diapers. With 24 diapers you will only need to wash diapers every 2 ½ – 3 days – easy!

Another great thing about using cloth diapers? Not only are they easy, cute, comfy AND cost effective, but you’ll feel happy that you’ve made a buying choice that will save at least one ton of garbage from going to a landfill!

No diaper rashes and all round better for my baby’s bum!

  • Andrea Verwer

I love using my cloth diapers for several reasons!
    1. I have sensitive skin and was worried about my babe having it as well. To this date. I have never had a single diaper rash or reddened bottom!
    2. I am absolutely addicted to the amazingly adorable prints!
    3. It saves a ton of money! (my husband appreciates this immensely!)
    4. It helps the environment and the future state. As my little one will be growing up into this world with lots of waste, teaching him begins when they’re born.
    5. No chemicals!

Okay, I could go on and on..but those are my top 5 reasons that I love my cloth diapers!
(I also have several brands and love each and every one of them equally)

I love using cloth diapers for so many reasons. They are cute, they are save a ton of money, they don’t fill our landfills. My number one reason has to be that they are so much better for my lo’s sensitive skin. No more diaper rash since we made the switch!

Been wanting to try cloth diapers (but have no idea which brand to go with) for my son because he has sensitive skin and unlike regular diapers, cloth ones dont use chemicals whatsoever – which makes them very eco friendly. Also, this will save us a lot of money going forward.. would really love to try Bummis

So many reasons why we love cloth! Main reasons being the environment and our pockets. I always say “you wouldn’t put anything on your body, that you wouldn’t put in it”.

I’ve been wanting to try cloth diapers since my son was born, but everything seemed overwhelming at the time. Now that my son is a few months older and I’ve had the chance to really look into cloth diapering, I’m ready to make the switch. I can’t believe all the diapers that this litle one has already gone through in just these few months. They’ve all ended up in a landfill somewhere. I’d love to try the Bummis All In One cloth diaper as I’ve heard great things about them.

Used these in my daycare for many of the kids the parents all loved them. Would love to win a few to give to my daughter in law to try before she buys others. My grandson was born a week ago. Want to give him nothing but the best

I love cloth diapers for many reasons. I love that my babies that have been in cloth rarely get a rash, that cloth feels so nice against the skin, that I’m not sending bags of garbage to the landfill (with 2 in diapers it would be a lot!), that they are more affordable in the long run. Most of all its probably how absolutely adorable they are on the bum!
