Hi! My name is Rebecca and I am Well.ca’s CEO. This is my first blog post (yay!). I wanted to start writing on our blog to connect with the amazing Well.ca world beyond our office walls and share the wonders and challenges I face on a day-to-day basis as a mom (and a pregnant mom at that!). I have a daughter who is almost two years old and I am pregnant with baby #2.
I found that my whole world changed in many ways when I had a child. The things that used to matter were no longer important (I can’t remember the last time I shopped for myself), and things that I never even thought about were now front and centre in my mind. I suddenly cared about what was in soap for the first time and cared about whether my playtime with my child was providing her with enough learning opportunity.
I joined the Well.ca team after coming back from maternity leave after my first child. In fact, one of the biggest changes I made after having a child was my job. My previous job was not conducive to raising a family, and I was fortunate to find Well.ca which not only is a phenomenal place to work, but a company that exudes many of the core values that I hold close to me. As a bonus, I now work for a company that makes my life as a parent much easier. This is the goal of Well.ca, to make the lives of parents easier. Our mission is to offer great products and information which allow customers to make better choices for themselves and their families, and to deliver these products on-time and without issue right to your front door.
I look forward to getting to know you all better in the coming months. I will be blogging on Well.ca on a frequent basis and would love to hear from you. What challenges do you face as a parent?
