Sending your kids to school with a lunch they won’t send home can be a challenge. This easy pizza can be packed in lunch boxes, bags, kits for bentos for a great (and favourite) weekday meal for kids. And you can customize the toppings to include veggies, and make it healthier by using Bob’s Red Mill whole grain crust mix!
You’ll Need:
- Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Pizza Crust Mix
- 2 cups of Eden Organic Crushed Tomatoes with Sweet Basil
- 2 tsp chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 tsp fresh basil leaves
Prepare Pizza Crust according to these directions. Saute garlic in olive for a few minutes, until translucent and fragrant. Add tomatoes, a pinch of sugar and simmer on medium-low for 15 minutes or until thick. Add salt to taste.
Add a dollop of sauce, any veggies or toppings you want, and top with shredded cheese. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes on 450 degrees. As an option, you can add fresh, cut-up basil leaves to the top.
