If you’re looking for a treat to serve to guests or munch on this holiday season, but also want something not too sweet and a recipe that’s Paleo friendly and naturally gluten-free, you’ve got to try this one. You can use your favourite tree nut, but we recommend pecans for a true flavour sensation.
You’ll Need:
- 2 cups raw nuts, pecans preferred
- 1 egg white
- 2 tbsps agave syrup or honey
- 2 tsps organic chili powder
- 1 tsp organic ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp celtic sea salt
- 1/4 tsp organic cayenne
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 300 degrees. In a large bowl, whisk egg whisk and then whisk in agave syrup. Add the nuts, and toss to coat them evenly. Add chili, cinnamon, cayenne, and salt and stir until the nuts are evenly coated with spices. With a slotted spoon, transfer the nuts to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25 minutes or until the nuts are browned and coating is dry. Cool for 20 minutes before serving.
