Fall Skincare Routine with Indie Lee

The leaves are starting to change and the warmer weather is coming to an end. With colder temps., humidity drops and skin starts craving additional moisture. That’s when I change up my skincare routine. I’m not talking about a major overhaul, but slight tweaks to make sure my skin remains healthy, hydrated and nourished. Here’s a peek into my Fall practice that can help your skin look radiant this Fall:

At the change of every season, my first step is cleaning out my makeup stash and checking the expiration dates on products. Much like spring cleaning, I look forward to Fall cleaning. I mean, who doesn’t look for an excuse to buy new skincare and new makeup for Fall trends?

Next, I focus on proper exfoliation, hydration and skin nourishment with quality, effective skin-loving ingredients. Enter my Fall must have – an excellent exfoliating mask to help wake up dull skin. When the humidity dips and skin is dryer, it’s important to remove dead skin cells regularly so serums and moisturizers can do the heavy lifting they are charged with. Personally, I love to use the Indie Lee Clearing Mask at least once a week. This 20 minute, mask includes Salicylic and Glycolic Acids that work to exfoliate dead skin cells. Bentonite Clay and Colloidal Sulfur help to gently draw out impurities. Zinc Oxide, Chamomile and Red Seaweed extracts ensure skin is left reconditioned and hydrated.

I use it in the morning while brushing my teeth and rinse it off when I get in the shower. Because this leaves my skin with a gorgeous glow, foundation has become optional.

I’m keen on multitasking products like our Daily Vitamin Infusion which is a staple during colder weather. This oil-based serum and hydrator in one is perfect for use with my Guasha (who doesn’t love a daily facial massage?) as it’s formulated with one of my favourite ingredients, Squalane, as well as nutrient-dense Rosehip Seed and Avocado Oils – providing a perfect glide and intense moisture. And, the real powerhouse of this formula is plant-derived Ceramides (this ingredient is known to limit moisture loss and protects against the visible impact of environmental stressors). With mask mandates beginning to return, it’s more important than ever to keep your skin protected with hydration and antioxidants aplenty. I keep a bottle near my desk when my skin needs a little pre-zoom glow (you’re welcome).

Last but never least, is my beloved Superfruit Facial Cream, AKA my facial smoothie. This is one of those decadent facial creams that leaves your skin saying thank you over and over. So, what makes this so special? Glad you asked – it’s packed with antioxidant-rich Superfruits -Pomegranate, Acai Berry and Acerola Fruit extract, Sodium Hyaluronate to provide continuous moisture, AHA’s to gently exfoliate dead skin and botanical peptides to moisturize. The result, gorgeous glowing and moisturized skin ready for what I like to affectionately call sweater weather.
