Chocolate Dipped Shortbread Cookies

Shortbread cookies are a classic holiday treat. But when you dip them into melted chocolate — it can only make a good thing better!

You’ll Need:

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 F. Cream the butter and sugar together, then add vanilla and flour and mix until combined into a dough. Taking 1/2″ of the dough at a time, roll into a ball with your hands and then roll in some sugar and place on a cookie sheet. Using the tines of a fork, flatten cookies. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Dip half of each cookie into melted chocolate, then set on a wire rack (with parchment paper underneath to catch dips) to set cookie. Quickly sprinkle with optional coconut flakes before chocolate sets. Once everything has cooled, serve and enjoy!

It’s too bad the recipe doesn’t tell us how these cookies were shaped. I’m assuming a cookie press? Because these obviously were not flattened with a fork!!
