Chocolate Dipped Shortbread Cookies

Shortbread cookies are a classic holiday treat. But when you dip them into melted chocolate — it can only make a good thing better!

You’ll Need:

Preheat oven to 350 F. Cream the butter and sugar together, then add vanilla and flour and mix until combined into a dough. Taking 1/2″ of the dough at a time, roll into a ball with your hands and then roll in some sugar and place on a cookie sheet. Using the tines of a fork, flatten cookies. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Dip half of each cookie into melted chocolate, then set on a wire rack (with parchment paper underneath to catch dips) to set cookie. Quickly sprinkle with optional coconut flakes before chocolate sets. Once everything┬áhas cooled, serve and enjoy!

It’s too bad the recipe doesn’t tell us how these cookies were shaped. I’m assuming a cookie press? Because these obviously were not flattened with a fork!!
