7 Ways to Boost Your Immunity Through the Change of Seasons

Even though we are always all about enjoying the warm weather, we have begun to sense the change of seasons in the air. The daylight hours are getting shorter, the evenings are cooling off and the back-to-school sales have suddenly begun (please, let’s not talk about the Christmas cookies we saw at the grocery the other day).

Although it might not feel like it, our bodies, our immune systems and our health go through changes this time of year as well. It’s actually the perfect time to address ways to boost our health and immunity in order to survive the fall and winter months in the best shape possible. Here are some ways to keep on track to stay healthy over the next few months and beyond.

  1. Routine, Routine Routine…!

Long days, late nights and vacations make it easy to get out of routine—and that’s okay every so often! But, our bodies (and minds) function best when we have a daily routine and rIght now is the perfect time to re-establish it. Getting enough sleep with similar daily wake and sleep times is important in ensuring our immune system has the time to replenish itself after a busy summer season.

  2. A Beverage that Boosts:! Ener-C Sugar-Free Effervescent Berry Drink Mix

A sugar-free, delicious, and all-natural bevvy flavoured with real fruit juice powders? Yes, please. We plan on drinking this every day for a scrumptious vitamin boost and energy increase. This great drink is going to help keep us healthy, boost our immunity and help us to live healthier.

  3. Stop Colds and Flus Quickly with Sisu Cold and Flu Rescue

This combination of four powerful ingredients: Ester-C, Andrographis, NAC and Echinacea works quickly to provide effective relief. The familiar symptoms of head and body aches, sinus and chest congestion, coughing and sneezing are all indications that your body is working to expel a cold or flu virus. Bonus: it doesn’t have any sedative or other side effects of over-the-counter drugs.

  4. The Hydration Situation

On cold days it’s tempting to sip on hot drinks like coffee, tea or hot chocolate. However, water keeps your organs and tissues hydrated and flushing out toxins. By staying hydrated all the time, you can actually prevent your body from falling ill easily.

  5. Recuperate Faster with Suro Organic Elderberry Syrup

This adult formula is made with organic Canadian elderberries, extracts of elderflower, propolis, echinacea and raw honey, this syrup is a serious cold buster (and even tastes good!). Use it when you have a cough, sore throat, fever or congestion.

  6. Getting Over the Sniffles Has Never Been So Fun! Herbaland Immune Boost Gummies

These kid-friendly gummies taste great and combine vitamins C and D, Zinc, Elderberry and Echinacea root together to support immune health. Made with a unique plant-based, organic and sugar-free formula, ages 4 and older take 3 gummies per day with food, a few hours before or after taking other medications.

  7. Layer Up

As fall approaches, weather conditions can change suddenly from morning to night. When you go from inside where it’s warm and cozy to outside where it’s chilly or raining, your temperature regulation system can be caught off guard, triggering changes in your immune system as it tries to keep up. To alleviate the toll on your body, dress in layers and take off and put back on as needed.
